Al Diwaan dining room with private annex, serving Arab and Mediterranean cuisine (dining is also available at your choice of location - on the dining room terrace, in the dunes or privately in your suite - indoors or alfresco). Delightful lounge offering panoramic views of the desert and the nearby water hole, central courtyard, lobby, bar with terrace, library filled with fascinating artworks, books and a selection of DVDs. Delux Rooms
The Bedouin Suites: 37 individual Bedouin Suites of 75 square metres, each surrounded by a wooden deck complete with its own temperature-controlled pool. Each suite is sumptuously-appointed with handcrafted furnishings, antiques and artefacts. The spacious bathroom features a walk-in shower, king-size bath, a 'his and hers' vanity area, dressing area with minibar, tea and coffee, TV, DVD, data ports and safe. The Royal and Emirates Suites: The two Royal Suites, measuring 175 square metres each, comprise two Bedouin Suites connected by a lounge. The 375-square-metre Emirates Suite accommodation offers an opulent style in which to experience the Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, with two bedrooms, living area, a beautiful private courtyard and residential quarters for the guests' private staff. Both the Royal and Emirates Suites have fabulous vistas and offer large temperature-controlled pools.
Sports and Leisure
Relax in the world-class spa, work out in the gymnasium or, with the help of your professional Field Guide, you may ride a fine Arabian horse or camel across the desert, take an exciting four-wheel drive across the shifting dunes, be part of a falcon demonstration, or practice archery from the shade of a Bedu tent. Animals are elusive by nature, but our knowledgeable Field Guides will seek them with you on safari, travelling the sands as the Bedouin did, in the long shadows of dawn or dusk. You can experience all these Arabian pursuits at no extra cost. Off-site activities, such as trips into the mountains, archaeological and historical tours are available on request at an additional charge.
